Delete your FARAH account
Short version: Open the FARAH Kitchen app, go to Preferences, scroll to the bottom, and tap "Delete account". Your account, free-tier history, and entitlement codes are removed. Active subscriptions are not cancelled by deleting the account because Apple and Google handle subscription billing.
How to delete your account from inside the app
- Open the FARAH Kitchen app on your phone.
- From the home screen, tap the gear icon in the top right to open Preferences.
- Scroll all the way to the bottom of Preferences.
- Under the "Account" section, tap Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion in the prompt that appears.
What gets deleted
- Your FARAH account record (sign-in identity, email, display name).
- The link between your account and any entitlement code you redeemed.
- Your free-tier usage counter.
- All active sessions on every device you signed in from.
Deletion happens immediately. The underlying record is fully purged from our database within 90 days.
What does NOT get deleted automatically
- Active subscriptions: these are billed by Apple or Google. To cancel a subscription, open your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancelling there stops future billing. We do not have access to cancel subscriptions on your behalf.
- Community Kitchen posts you published: if you posted photos or comments in Community Kitchen, those remain visible to others until you delete them yourself from within the app. We can remove them on request if you have lost access to the account; email us.
- Local data on your device: your favorites, recipe history, and flavor reviews live on your phone in app storage. Uninstalling the FARAH Kitchen app removes them.
Cannot access the app?
If you cannot open the app for any reason and need us to delete your account, email [email protected] from the email address you used to sign in. Include the words "Delete my account" in the subject line. We will confirm the request and process it within 30 days.
What happens if I sign back in?
After your account is deleted, signing in again with the same Apple or Google account creates a new account. Your previous free-tier usage and any entitlement codes do not carry over.
